The Mentor Programme is a volunteering initiative that can benefit you. It puts international students in contact with UGR students in Granada, Ceuta and Melilla, helping you integrate into university life.
If you didn’t sign up for this programme in your online application or haven’t contacted your mentor, you still have time. Email programamentor@ugr.es and we’ll try to match you up with a local student. If you take part, bear in mind that you should commit to staying in touch with your mentor.
If you want to become part of Granada’s local community you can participate in social causes through volunteering. UGR-Solidaria runs volunteering activities in Granada, Ceuta and Melilla by putting students in contact with nonprofit organisations.
Want to join a student society? The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest interdisciplinary societies in Europe, founded in 1989 to support student exchanges.
ESN Granada organises many activities and trips to make international student experiences in Granada unforgettable.
There are many other societies at the UGR. The Secretariat for Student Information, Participation and Societies promotes these societies and collaborates in enriching training activities for students. You can view all registered societies on their web, sorted by type e.g. music, theatre, sports and many more.
The University of Granada organises the Induction Sessions for all students on 27th and 28th September from 10:30 to 14:00 h. and from 17:00 to 20:30 h. at Paseillos Universitarios (Fuentenueva Campus). The aim of this event is to provide the students with all the information they may need about resources, activities and services of the UGR. More information soon at:
This centre is focused on developing projects such as the Students Observer, the Ideas Lab, the Lifelong Education Programme and the Discussion Forum.
