In line with the UGR International Mobility Regulations, incoming students are obliged to have health and travel insurance for the duration of their study period.
If you don’t have insurance yet, you can purchase this insurance.
There is a specific protocol that regulates certain healthcare needs not covered by medical insurance or travel insurance. Please consult the: “Health District Protocol for International Students with Specific Health Issues”

In the event that you need any medicine, in Spain they are only dispensed in pharmacies. Depending on the type of medication you need, you may have to present a prescription that you can obtain from a medical professional once you have an appointment with him / her. The cost of a medicine with prescription is less since they are covered by the National Health System. Pharmacy hours usually coincide with business hours, but some are open 24 hours (that is, they are on call). You can check them at this link:
